Schools pursuing Houston RB

The city of Houston is home to rapper Scarface, who spits rhymes about the life and times of the inner city. His song, "My Block," tells his tale on being a teen in Houston and growing up in the Fifth Ward.
Houston (Texas) Jones running back Remus Nembhard surroundings mirror the tough life and times of the artists' lyrics.

The 5-foot-7, 165-pound back is of Jamaican descent. His mother scrapes together money from her job at a local Jamaican food restaurant, working long hours. His father recently passed away, which took him back to Jamaica this past Thanksgiving.
On the wall of his small, dark room is a drawing of his father next to newspaper articles cut out in regards to his football heroics.
Nembhard is the beacon of light on his block. At Jones, he rushed for 1,438 yards on 155 carries and 18 touchdowns as a junior while missing three games. The four-year starter was the district's Most Valuable Player last season. He also runs several events for his high school track program.
He is known in the neighborhood, and getting known throughout national recruiting circles.
"I've got a lot of mail in the house," he said. "From Arkansas, Texas, Miami, OSU, USC and Texas Tech. I've never really been to any college campuses, so I'm looking forward to taking some visits and seeing which school pursues me the most."
While he is relatively short in stature, his vision, speed and versatility make him one of Houston's most prolific backs.
"I try and pattern my game after Marshall Faulk," he said. "I can catch out of the backfield. I'm very quick, hit the hole and let my speed take over."
Nembhard will be playing seven-on-seven his spring and will attend the Nike Camp in Fort Worth.
"Until then, I'm just working hard in the weight room," he said.
This fall he will surely be taking more articles on his wall as well.
