Schools inquiring about WR Reed

Taylor Reed is a big play wide receiver from Memphis (Tenn.) University School. Reed, 6-2 and 185 pounds, scored seven touchdowns through the final six games and he helped MUS win a state championship and a 13-0 season.
"I actually broke my collar bone on the first play of the first game," Reed said. "I caught a 50-yard pass and broke it when I got tackled. So I really missed the first seven games of the year."

Not only did that injury keep Reed off the field it also slowed down his progress in terms of recruiting.
"The injury definitely hurt me with recruiting. I had a great summer at camps and seven on sevens. Coaches who were recruiting me wanted to just see how I did at the beginning of the season. I got hurt and I think teams just went after another receiver. I think that's what happened with Vanderbilt. They were recruiting me. Then I got hurt. Then I didn't hear from them."
Things are picking up for Reed. Memphis could be close to offering him a scholarship. Southern Miss is a possibility as well.
"I am talking with Memphis. They have been to our school and they say they want to offer. It will probably in January after I speak with Coach (Tommy) West. USM is looking at my film. Those are two recent possibilities."
