Schools getting in line for Jones

Dallas (Texas) Lincoln linebacker/defensive end Richetti Jones is watching the talk increase each and every day about being one of the most highly recruited prospects in the class of 2007.
Of course, there are no complaints from the 6-foot-2, 201-pound member of the Rivals.com Class of 2007 100 to watch. Jones likes the attention, but has remained humble through all of it. He even is excited about a few new schools that looks close to adding their offer to the mix.

"Well, the written offers I have are still the same from Oklahoma State and Texas A&M," Jones said. "Texas has been writing me so much lately too. They send me a lot of letters talking about how they want me there at Texas. Texas Tech is supposed to be offering soon as well."
Jones does already have a favorite team when it comes to recruiting letters.
"Some of the letters are crazy that you receive," Jones said. "I get stuff from A&M that says the 'Wrecking Crew is waiting' and I have to admit I like that. I even saw one letter with my name on a cereal box. I like that."
However, the talented yet mature Jones is not about to rush into anything. He's getting letters from several out-of-state schools now like Oklahoma, Florida, Nebraska, and others, but admits there are no favorites.
When it comes down to it, Jones wants a winner.
"Not really, there aren't any favorites," Jones said. "With me, it's just who's winning. That's all. I mean you have to like what Texas and USC is doing because those are two exciting teams to watch play."
His junior season was cut short after being quickly removed from the playoffs.
"We played Lewisville Hebron," he said. "We made mistakes and you know in the playoffs, you can't afford to get down and expect to come back. Now I'm hitting the weight room and working out. That's all I do. I'm trying to get my speed up and doing stuff to improve that."
