Schools finding Terrell following transfer

Last season, Russellville (Ala.) High School was one of the top teams in the state of Alabama, closing the season with a state championship game appearance and a close loss to Demopolis. That run was anchored by the play of Alabama commit Brent Calloway, a physical running back/linebacker prospect that made plays on both sides of the ball. In the 2010 season, not only will Calloway be back ready for another run, but this time he's going to have some help.
At around 6 feet and 245 pounds, Robert Terrell was a physical presence playing football in Pennsylvania in 2009 at both running back and linebacker. Now he's bringing that presence down to Alabama and Russellville High School, alongside Calloway. Not only has the town accepted Terrell but so has his new teammate and the two are excited about playing side-by-side.

"Now it's great," Terrell said of the move. "I've made a lot of new friends and I have a lot of people that support me. Brent's like my brother. Me and him hang out all the time. I think me and Brent in the backfield, it's just going to be havoc on other teams. I think we'll be unstoppable. At linebacker, we'll be hands down a great linebacking corps. We're two tough linebackers."
Though Calloway is a big linebacker at the high school level, Terrell may pack the bigger punch of the two, having about 35 pounds on Calloway. However don't be fooled by his size. Terrell will chase you down as well.
"Some of the things that I actually think I'm good at are lateral movement and chasing down an opponent from behind," he said. "I'm six-foot 245 pounds and most people don't expect me to chase them down from behind."
While in Pennsylvania, Terrell picked up verbal offers from Penn State and Pittsburgh but since his move down south, he has now picked up his first official offer as well.
"I got one from Louisville," he said. "It came in the mail. I was kind of surprised. When I was in Pennsylvania, they sent me letters but I haven't heard from them since I left PA. When I lived in PA, they were actually one of my first choices. I don't know why, I've just liked that program. I believe they've always had really good coaches and things."
Along with Louisville, Terrell is getting significant interest from schools such as Tennessee, Ole Miss, Alabama, Auburn and Vanderbilt. The interest is coming on both sides of the ball. Terrell is willing to play either.
"A lot of schools see me at linebacker but I know some schools see me at fullback or running back," he said. "I'm very versatile. I wouldn't mind playing offense or defense. I feel pretty comfortable at both."
