Schools continue to recruit Kinnel

Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne four-star safety Tyree Kinnel made his commitment to Michigan more than a year ago, but other schools continue to recruit him.
"I always respect them because I feel honored that college likes what I have," Kinnel said. "I always listen to everything they say and then I always tell my family and talk about it."

Among the schools that have offered Kinnel since his commitment to Michigan are Notre Dame, Michigan State, Alabama and West Virginia. The offer from the Fighting Irish came through just last week, but at this stage he is not considering additional visits.
"As of now I don't think I will be visiting Notre Dame," Kinnel said. "I don't know what is going to happen in the future. Right now I am just really focused on my senior season. I haven't really been stressing out or really thinking about recruiting."
Kinnel did make a visit to Michigan earlier this month to take in their home contest against Miami (Ohio), and remains confident in his commitment.
"I still feel good about it and I'm still solid," Kinnel said. "I have been up there a couple times (the last couple months). I still feel good with the coaching staff and still feel good overall with my commitment there.
"They can't wait to get me up there on campus to get right after it. I'll be coming in at safety and they're excited for me to come in and work."
Besides his role at safety, the 5-foot-11, 197-pound Kinnel has made his mark on special teams this season, returning two punts for touchdowns through his first four games.
