Schools coming to see Wilkins

Spring evaluations are going well for Manny Wilkins and now the Novato (Calif.) San Marin quarterback hopes it pays off with some offers.
Last week, Duke, Cal and Colorado stopped by to see the 6-foot-3, 185-pound prospect who recently looked good at the NLA 7on7 in Las Vegas and already this week Arizona, Utah, Fresno State and Nevada were at his school.

So far, Wilkins has been offered by Arizona, Colorado State, Utah State and Wyoming but with all these coaches coming by things could pick up quickly for the three-star quarterback.
"Cal really wants me to come down for a one-day camp," Wilkins said. "Coach (Tony) Franklin will be coming out here in a couple weeks they told me. It was just coach (Zach) Yenser that came down to see me.
"Duke said they're going to still look at me hard. They're probably looking for an East Coast guy to try to land first. It is possible that an offer is down the road.
"Colorado is a really nice school and I've been talking to the coach for a while. I've built a really good relationship with coach (Mike) MacIntyre so I don't know if they're going to offer soon but I think down the road that's possible."
One program that could also offer soon is Arizona State. Wilkins said he has developed a great bond with the coaches and assistant coach Mike Norvell is expected to stop by his school this week.
Nothing has been guaranteed but Wilkins said he's gotten a good feeling from the Sun Devils that an offer could be near.
"ASU has picked it up," Wilkins said. "They're probably my next offer I would guess. I don't want to jinx anything but I've been talking to them pretty heavily and I talk to all the coaches over there.
"I have a pretty good relationship with them and coach Norvell is coming down Friday so we'll see what happens then."
