Schools chasing James

Citra (Fla.) North Marion wide receiver Sterlin James is the ball, tall ball-hawking wide receiver that is in such high demand in college football. He's already picked up several impressive offers and has been hearing from some other big time programs by phone.
"I have gotten calls from NC State and Clemson so far this month," James said. "I haven't talked to Louisville which surprises me because they send me mail everyday and they sent me a written offer. They may have called and I just missed it or something."

James attended the NIKE camp in Tallahassee where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.85 seconds, the shuttle in 4.38 seconds and 26-inch vertical jump.
"Right now Louisville, Marshall, South Florida and Florida State are my top schools," James said. "Louisville is still the top school on my list. I do know that I want to take my official visits before I decide anything. I kind of want Louisville to go ahead and call so I can set that visit up."
So far this season James has caught four touchdown passes for over 250 yards.
"The first three games I was drawing double teams like crazy and it opened up some of my other wide receivers and we went to them a lot," James said. "The past two weeks though I have had over 200 yards receiving. I am getting used to taking on the double teams now."
He had 31 catches for 522 yards, averaging 16.8 yards per catch. He also played some defense where he collected 12 tackles.
