Schools begin to contact sleeper QB

Three schools have begun to show an interest in sleeper quarterback Robert Walker out of New Haven (Conn.) Hyde Leadership. Who has been in touch with the 6-foot-2, 185-pounder?
"We haven't even sent out film yet and he only played in limited action last year, but Bucknell, Richmond and Duke have shown an interest already," said Hyde head coach John Acquavita. "He is a kid that can definitely play in the Ivy League and maybe even be able to flirt with lower Division I-A schools because he is athletic enough."

Walker currently is being recruited as an athlete since he plays quarterback and safety for Hyde Leadership.
"He is a great kid that has that big-time player bug on him," Acquavita said. "We still have to see in camps and combines this summer if he is the real deal, but I think he'll shine at the combines because he has what coaches are looking for in speed and height and then throw in the fact that he's got the brains and he has it all.
"He is quickly becoming a track star here and has been timed running a 4.45-second 40. He can definitely move. He also played limited time at strong safety for us and made a few big plays when he was in. Robert is very tall, athletic and has a great wingspan. What else is great about him is that he is not bashful about hitting people either."
Currently, Walker is planning to attend the Elite College Combine this spring.
