Schools are intrigued by two-sport star

Earlier this spring, Sudbury (Mass.) Lincoln-Sudbury athlete Mark Hogan took a few unofficial visits. The 5-foot-11, 185-pounder was impressed from at least one of the trips.
"Back in February I took a trip down to the Carolinas," he said. "I went to Duke wand met with the coaches, then to Furman and finally to Clemson to meet with their baseball coaches.

"I really liked Duke. The atmosphere there was nice, just like a game day visit I had there last fall."
The Massachusetts prospect is also receiving football interest from Vanderbilt, Maryland and numerous schools in the Ivy League.
Meanwhile, colleges are taking a look at Hogan for baseball to in the outfield.
"I'm getting interest from Boston College, Clemson, Virginia Tech and the Ivy League," he said. "I don't really have a preference. I'm going to see how baseball goes this season and then make that decision down the road."
Either way, it looks like Hogan will be heading to college for sports. What does he want out of a school?
"I'm looking for a place with a great atmosphere, a great coaching staff and a good location," he said. "I'm actually from Atlanta and it would be nice to go back down south for school. I moved to Boston just before my freshman year. It may not work out, but I just want to go somewhere I'm comfortable."
Hogan accounted for 1,500 yards of offense and 12 touchdowns along with three interceptions last season on his way to conference all-star honors.
