There has been plenty of speculation regarding quarterback Rob Schoenhoft and whether or not he has made his college decision. Speculation and sources have indicated Schoenhoft has selected Ohio State.
Two things are certain according to Schoenhoft's mother. Her son has made his decision and will announce it this week in California.
"He's in Florida on vacation right now," Debbie Schoenhoft said. "He's going from Florida to California for the Elite 11 Quarterback Camp. He'll be back on Monday."
"I believe out of the 11 quarterbacks who will be there, eight have announced already. Two more will announce there, and Rob will be one of them. I believe the announcement will be Thursday."
"It's Ohio State or Michigan. He has decided. He'll announce it out there. We leave Wednesday to go out there."
When the announcement is made Rob will be accomponied by his mother, father and younger brother.
The 6-foot-6 and 230-pound Schoenhoft is a Rivals.com four star prospect. Schoenhoft is the country's No. 4 pro-style quarterback prospect and the No. 5 prospect overall in the state of Ohio.
Schoenhoft threw for 1100 yards and 12 touchdowns during his junior season. He was intercepted just four times. Schoenhoft was an all-conference selection in both football and basketball.
In addition to Ohio State and Michigan, Florida, LSU, Notre Dame and Michigan State are among the many other schools to have offered Schoenhoft a scholarship.
