Schmidt thinking about his offers

Jasper's Luke Schmidt is one of the top prospects in the state of Indiana. The 6-foot-3 and 230 pounder rushed for 2592 yards during his junior season. Schmidt averaged 7.9 yards per carry and scored 41 times.
This all-state selection is drawing plenty of interest from recruiters who feel he could play running back, fullback, tight end, or defensive end in college.

In addition to his size and athletic skills, Schmidt brings great academics to the table. He has a 3.75 GPA and scored a 1280 on the SAT.
"I'm looking at Purdue, Notre Dame, Michigan, Louisville, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Iowa," Schmidt said. "Those are the ones I've narrowed it down to for the most part.
"I've been to either spring practices, spring games, or junior days at all of them. I've visited all of them except Oklahoma.
"Purdue, Notre Dame, Louisville, and Oklahoma have offered me.
"I'll probably go to some camps this summer, but I'm not sure which ones.
"I don't have a favorite. But I'll probably decide before the season starts."
