Schammel visits State again
A month ago tight end Greg Schammel out of Raleigh (N.C.) Millbrook made the short trip to North Carolina State. The 6-foot-5, 225-pounder went back to check out a practice recently.
"I went back to State about a week or two ago to watch NC State's practice and I plan to go back for the spring game," he said. "The visit was cool. The way they had everything scheduled out worked well in practice.

"I watched the tight ends and they were doing the same thing we do. I didn't really get to talk to the coaches, but they said hi and recognized me."
The visit for the upcoming spring game will be the third for Schammel in the past month. Is there anything he wants to see this time around?
"I guess I just want to sit and watch a football game," he said. "I've never been to a spring game before."
Schammel is also considering attending East Carolina's spring game.
Other schools showing interest include Duke and Virginia.
Are any colleges leading for the North Carolina prospect?
"I guess you could say it's all pretty even and I have no preference," he said. "If anybody, East Carolina and NC State are the same for me."
