Schafenacker wants to decide soon

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas three-star offensive guard Kyle Schafenacker visited and camped at Florida State this week in hopes of earning an offer from the Seminoles.
"It was good because I got to work with Coach Trickett and learn a lot," Schafenacker said. "I have to talk more with Coach (Eddie) Gran about an offer but he is real interested in me. Hopefully I will get an offer."

While the 6-foot-4, 285-pound offensive lineman waits for an offer from Florida State, he is working with a top three from a trio of schools that have extended an offer.
"My top three were Cincinnati, Connecticut, and South Carolina," Schafenacker said. "It is pretty much the same unless Florida State offers me. Then that would change things."
Schafenacker has previously visited South Carolina. He talked about what he learned when he checked out the Gamecocks.
"I really like the atmosphere, the facilities, and the fan support is amazing," Schafenacker said.
At this time, Schafenacker doesn't have any plans to see Cincinnati or Connecticut. He says he could commit to a school sight unseen. He is hoping to make his decision within the next month.
"I kind of want to get it done before the season," Schafenacker said.
