Four-star dual-threat quarterback / athlete Brent Schaeffer from Deerfield Beach (Fla.) took his second official visit over the weekend and come out with a leader. He has also trimmed his list of schools to seven and will continue to narrow his list over the next several weeks.
“It went good,” he commented on his trip to Kansas State. “I would rate it a seven, probably, because I really liked the unity of the players.”
Although the trip was good, another team, ironically, emerged as his leader.
“Tennessee is probably my leader, now,” he explained. “I just liked them better. I am getting closer to making a decision, but I want to wait until I take my other visits.”
In addition to the schools he has already visited, Schaeffer is still considering Auburn, Michigan State, and Notre Dame, along with South Florida (Jan. 9) and NC State (Jan. 23). While Tennessee has moved up, another school has dropped off his list.
“I am not looking at Ole Miss any more,” he said. “I have just started narrowing my schools, and they were the first to go.”
Brent is rated the No. 9 dual-threat quarterback in America by Rivals.com. He stands 6-foot-3, weighs 190 pounds, and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds. A 3.1 student, he has already scored a 900 on the SAT and plans to major in computer graphic design.
