Schacht makes visit despite commitment

Coppell, Texas offensive lineman Cameron Schacht chose the Oklahoma Sooners nearly two months ago. Now, after taking an unofficial visit over the weekend, what are his feelings about the Sooner program?
“I did visit K-State this weekend for their spring game,” the 6-foot-5, 260 pound Schacht said. “The visit went pretty good. I enjoyed myself while I was there.”

So how does Schacht feel about his verbal pledge to Bob Stoops’ troops?
“I’m solid with Oklahoma,” he said. “I went to the game this weekend as a favor to my uncle, Robert Pearson. He played for K-State and wanted me to take a look at them. So I did, for him.”
With the favor out of the way what does Schacht have planned as he starts to look toward the 2003 season, the last of his high school career.
“I’m looking at going to the Oklahoma and K-State camps this summer. Then we’ll head into the season this fall.”
