Scelfo optimistic more offers on the way

Three-star center Joseph Scelfoof Bogart (Ga.) North Oconee has 15 offers, but he isn't ready to pull the trigger just yet. That's because he is waiting to see if more schools join the mix.
"I've been hearing a lot from Virginia Tech, South Florida, Georgia Tech and Clemson," Scelfo said.

What have the coaches at those schools been saying?
"They're all telling me to get them highlights from this year, and they really want me to visit," Scelfo said. "Clemson has a center committed from Tennessee, but they told me to just hang in there, be patient. With Coach Shane Beamer at Virginia Tech, he's been telling me the same thing. He hasn't seen me in person yet. He wants me to get up to Blacksburg for a game. Georgia Tech has also told me to be patient. I like the coaches at USF a lot. They haven't seen me in person either. They like me on film, but they say they can't offer without seeing me. I might go there for the Cincinnati game."
Of the four, Scelfo thinks the Yellow Jackets might be first to offer.
"I think it'll come soon," Scelfo said. "I should be hearing something pretty soon. They've been telling me to be patient for a little while. When I went to their game a few weeks ago, they showed me they like me a lot. I liked it there. And it's only an hour from our house."
This weekend, Scelfo will unofficially visit Florida State.
"[FSU assistant] coach Rick Trickett wants me to grayshirt," Scelfo said. "He said they're all filled up with offensive linemen, but he told me if anything happens I'm their next one. He wants me to go there, they just don't have room."
Scelfo hopes his senior highlights will impress. Thus far, he has 13 pancake blocks in two games.
"I'm playing pretty good," he said. "I was the player of the game for my team in both games."
