Scelfo on teams radar

At the moment, North Oconee (Ga.) junior center Joseph Scelfo has one offer. But his instincts tell him more could be on the way.
"A lot of coaches say they're getting me evaluated by the rest of the coaching staff right now," Scelfo said.

UAB is already past that stage.
In February, the Blazers became the first program to offer the 6-foot-2, 273-pounder.
"I just visited there last weekend," Scelfo said. "That was my first visit there. I loved it. I thought the coaching staff was really good. They all kind of took me in. I liked it a lot. I thought it was a really good program. And academically, they're really good. I'm actually looking into either the medical field or criminal justice and they offer both."
Scelfo thinks Marshall could be next to offer.
"I talk to [assistant coach Phil Ratliff] once or twice a week," he said. "I plan on visiting there April 23."
Besides UAB, Scelfo has visited Auburn and Georgia Tech in 2011. Last summer, he checked out Duke, North Carolina, N.C. State and Wake Forest.
"I'm scheduled to visit South Alabama on Tuesday, and on Wednesday I'm going to Tulane in New Orleans," Scelfo said. "They just want to look at me. I'm 6-2, and they all want to make sure that I'm every bit of 6-2. "
