Scarlett books Notre Dame trip

Cameron Scarlett only has one official visit scheduled outside the Pac-12.
It is to Notre Dame and that's a big coup for the Irish who will host the four-star all-purpose back from Portland (Ore.) Central Catholic in October when it plays North Carolina.

"I'm really looking forward to seeing Notre Dame," Scarlett said. "They have expressed a lot of interest in me and I'm definitely excited to go over there.
"They are the only school outside of the Pac-12 that I'm taking an official to so I'm excited to see something different. My brother told me ND was his favorite visit so I hope they can impress me the same way."
Scarlett, a 6-foot-1, 210-pound four-star prospect who's the No. 1 recruit in the Oregon state rankings by Rivals.com, has a final five of Notre Dame, Oregon, Stanford, UCLA and Washington.
It's important to note that his brother, Brennan, signed with Cal but that the Golden Bears did not make Scarlett's final five. Notre Dame is his first official visit scheduled but Scarlett is expected to take all five trips.
The four-star who rushed for 1,640 yards with 22 touchdowns and also caught 33 passes for 674 yards and seven scores in his junior season said he's liked Notre Dame for a long time and he's excited about seeing South Bend during the season.
Rivals.com rates Scarlett as the eighth-best all-purpose back in the class.
"I like the tradition of Notre Dame," Scarlett said. "All my life they have been winning and competing on the highest level and I don't see that changing any time soon."
