Los Alamitos (Calif.) has one of the best reputations in the state for producing Div I players at the receiver position. This year is no exception as the Griffins have not one but two future college players catching passes for them this year.

Jeremy Childs gets most of the headlines at Los Al, but Orlando Scandrick is a very talented player in his own right. Scandrick, 5-11, 170 pounds is getting looks at both receiver and cornerback and has two early offers to his name.
"Wyoming and Nevada have both offered and I'm also hearing a lot from Arizona, Arizona State, Cal Washington State and Oregon, those are my top schools right now," Scandrick said. "All the Pac 10 schools recruiting me said they want to see my first couple of games this season before they go on me so I can't wait for our season to start."
The Griffins are loaded as always and are currently ranked the No. 5 team in the state by CalHiSports.com, No. 42 in the country in the Student Sports Fab 50 poll.
"I think we're going to surprise a lot of people," Scandrick said. "I think we should be rated even higher to be honest. We play Mission Viejo in two weeks and they're the top rated team in Southern CA right now. If we get by them, we can prove that we're the top team in the area."
