Scandrick pulls the trigger

We talked with Los Alamitos (Calif.) athlete Orlando Scandrick on Sunday after he returned home from his official visit to Boise State. At the time, Scandrick told us he was basically a Bronco but wanted to give Fresno State one last chance.
"Fresno State was here for about three hours today," Scandrick said. "They came in around 1:00 and were here until about 4:00. They made a great presentation and I really like those coaches a lot. They don't always get the best athletes there but they're always able to compete with teams like UCLA, Kansas State and Virginia just because of how well they're coached.

"I just felt like Boise State was the best fit for me though so I went ahead and committed to them tonight when they came in to my house. I just have a great vibe there and the fact that Jeremy (Childs) is coming with me, that's even better because I'll have a roommate and someone who I know already.
"The depth chart is better at Boise State too. I'll have a better chance to play as a true freshman. At Fresno State, they almost always red-shirt their guys and they have a lot of young receivers on the team. I'll be playing cornerback for Boise State and I can't wait to get out there."
