SC sleeper getting interest

After a strong showing at the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas, Winnsboro (S.C.) Fairfield Central linebacker Sedric Griffin has seen interest in his services pick up tremendously.
"You go out and have a good game and teams start getting interested in you," Griffin said. "My coach told me that Florida State, Georgia Tech and Tennessee all have called about me."

The Yellow Jackets have set up an in-home visit with the 5-foot-11, 220-pounder for Jan. 2, the first day after the recruiting "dead period", which runs through Jan. 1.
Brian Jean-Mary is recruiting Griffin for Tech.
He added that he is trying to set up an official visit to Atlanta for the weekend of Jan. 13, but that date is not finalized.
Division I-AA Wofford continues to recruit Griffin as well.
Griffin has gone unnoticed for much of the recruiting process, despite posting an outstanding 4.4-second 40-yard dash and a 4.0 pro shuttle. He was impressive during Shrine Bowl workouts and during South Carolina's 28-24 loss to North Carolina in the game last Saturday.
