SC Quarterback Names Co-Leaders

Camden, S.C. quarterback Eric McCollom still has only one offer, but the rest of the schools in his top five are starting to recruit him harder.
McCollom, who threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns, completing 9 of 10 passes, this past weekend to lead his team to victory, lists South Carolina, Clemson, Penn State, Tennessee, and Maryland as his top five. He has an offer from Penn State.

He has no official visits set up, but plans to visit everyone in his top five unofficially during the season and then maybe take some officials after that.
"The only reason I'm not going to visit Penn State unofficially is because I went to camp there this summer and got to see everything. I will probably go there for an official visit after the season is over.”
The 6-foot-0, 170 pound athlete received some high praise from his coach Jimmy Neal.
"He is certainly a special player. He's an excellent all-around athlete and a great quarterback. He throws the ball very well and gets rid of the ball quickly. He shows great leadership skills on and off the field. His on-field performance shows in what we were able to accomplish last year by going 15-0 and winning the state title."
McCollom did name a couple of leaders in our interview with him.
"I think Clemson or South Carolina would be my leader. They are close to home and it's always been kind of a dream of mine to play for one of those in-state schools. I'm not going to go anywhere that doesn't offer though. Hopefully I will get an offer from one or both of those. If that happened it could change things."
