Three-star cornerback Rashad Fenton of Miami (Fla.) Carol City has a top five and South Carolina leads it. The other schools are Arkansas, Tennessee, UCF and Miami.
Fenton plans on taking official visits to South Carolina, Tennessee, UCF and Arkansas and hopes to make his decision "after a couple of games," the 5-foot-11, 170-pound Fenton said.
"I just want to make sure I choose the right school."
Fenton said South Carolina leads for many reasons.
"They have a great history," he said. "They're one of the elite teams right now. They recently gave me an offer in the spring and they've been showing me a lot of love and keeping in contact with me."
Here's what he said about his other schools in the mix:
Arkansas: "Randy Shannon is out there so we have a lot of kids there from Miami. He wants to make sure I land a good fit out there in Arkansas and it's a DB school right now so I think I could do good out there."
Tennessee: "That's one of the big SEC schools too, and that was another school that came in during the spring and offered. That's something you have to consider when you have a big offer on the table."
Miami: "It's a great school with great commits and a lot of my friends are starting to come to Miami, so it's real good when you can play in front of your family that you grew up with. So that's a school I must consider."
UCF: "It's a great school and they had a real good year last year winning the Fiesta Bowl. Coach Callahan's recruiting me as a DB and he was one of my first offers. He noticed my talent first, so I must consider them."
