SC d-tackle with lone offer still

Gerald Dixon is one of the better defensive line prospects from the Palmetto State in the Class of 2011. Dixon, 6-2 and 275 pounds, is from Rock Hill, South Carolina.
“I am a good run stopper and I have good speed for my size. I need to work on my pass rushing and technique.”

According to Dixon, he is sitting on one offer and it’s a big one for him.
“South Carolina offered me last year. It’s close to home and I feel pretty comfortable there. I like coach (Ellis) Johnson and the coaches there. I feel good with those guys, real comfortable. I am developing a good relationship with them now.
North Carolina, NC State, and Alabama are all recruiting me hard. I plan on going to see schools this summer. I want to see Alabama, Tennessee, and LSU.”
Do the Gamecocks hold the edge for Dixon?
“They are my favorite team. I am going to South Carolina spring game. I have nothing else planned now. I wait to make my decision until I see some more schools. Hopefully I will have some more options.”
