SC athlete schedules visits

Three-star athlete Markish Jones out of Spartanburg (S.C.) Broome has scheduled two official visits. The 6-foot-0, 183-pounder is working on setting up more in the near future.

"I have an official visit scheduled to Florida State on November 25th and I'm going to East Carolina this week when they play West Virginia," he said. "I am talking to North Carolina and Tennessee about setting up visits too."

Currently two schools stand out for the No. 48 athlete in the country.

"Florida State and Clemson are 50/50 for me," he said. "I like the players they have at those schools and the young talent. I think there is a chance to see a lot of playing time at both and they are the best places for me as a wide receiver. Both teams also have a good chance to compete for a national championship."

On the field, Jones has performed well.

"On the year I have 12 tackles and two interceptions on defense. I think I have 16 catches for 230 yards and three touchdowns on offense," he said. "I think I've improved on my route running a lot from all the footwork drills I did this summer. I need to continue to get my technique down on defense to get that better."
