SC athlete picks up SEC offer

Jerrell Priester picked up his first Southeastern Conference scholarship offer earlier today. Priester, from Allendale (S.C.) Fairfax High School, received an offer from the University of Kentucky. That makes three for this athlete.
"I'm going to strongly consider them," Priester said. "I know they have a great campus and I really like coach (Joker) Phillips. But honestly, I don't know too much about them but I love the fact that they play in the SEC."

Priester now has offers from Notre Dame, Kentucky and East Carolina. Last season as a junior he rushed the ball 99 times for 1,194 yards and scored 12 touchdowns. Defensively, Priester had 50 tackles, one sack and two interceptions as a defensive back.
Priester, 5-10 and 170 pounds, is one of the fastest prospects from south. He placed third in the state 100 meters (11.19) and seventh in the 200 meters
Priester hopes to see Notre Dame, Georgia, Vanderbilt, Kentucky and Alabama this summer.
