Savage pulls the trigger

Piscataway, N.J. defensive end Omar Savage has made his decision.

"I committed to Maryland," said the 6-foot-4, 222-pounder. "I tried not to compare the facilities because they are very similar. Both head coaches are cool and I got along well with the players. But the Maryland campus was great and distance is not a factor to me. I know my parents will drive down to see me play and I have a lot of family out there."

Savage visited both Rutgers and Maryland before making his decision. Savage also considered Duke.
