Sapp talks Vols offer

Class of 2015 Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton linebacker Quarte Sapp was preparing to head to camp at Tennessee last week in hopes of earning an offer when he heard from his high school coach the Vols were already on board.
"I called [running backs] Coach Robert Gillespie after getting the info from my coach regarding the offer," Sapp said. "I'm really pumped."

Sapp added that Gillespie had clearly done his homework and was very complimentary about him, both on and off the field.
"He gave me compliments regarding my film, my grades and my work ethic," Sapp said. "I told him I'm focused on improving all of the above during my junior year."
The offer prior to camp was a welcome surprise to Sapp and he said he and Gillespie hit it off during their conversation.
"He was really cool," Sapp said. "I told him that I had planned to come to camp so the timing of the offer was really surprising."
Sapp is 6-foot-1, 196 pounds and also has offers from Florida State, Ole Miss, North Carolina and Wisconsin.
