Sands ready to hit the road

Even though the Rutgers Nike Camp lacked depth at the offensive line position, one player who stood out was Tyler Sands of Boyertown, Pa.
"It was a fun day and I love the SPARQ Training that we started off with. I actually use it everyday to work out, so that was fun to do and show off a little bit," said Sands. "The 1-on-1's went well. I didn't have the greatest of days but I had a few good shots in there, so that was fun too."

Sands also made his mark at the Elite College Combine, which resulted in a number of new offers.
"Since the Elite Combine I've picked up six more offers," said Sands. "Georgia Tech, Virginia, Boston College, and a few D1-AA schools have offered. I'm trying to set some dates to make some visits and hopefully in June I'll make about 10 visits."
So with more than ten offers now, where is Sands looking to visit?
"I'm hoping to make small visits to Virginia and Boston College because I've already visited there once," said Sands. "I'm also going to try and visit Georgia Tech, Connecticut, and a bunch of other schools like Nebraska."
Aside from the unofficial visits Sands is planning, he is also hoping to hit up a couple of summer camps.
"I'm thinking about West Virginia and Penn State, but I haven't made any definite plans yet," said Sands.
