San Jose RB can score

San Jose in northern California is a very under reported area when it comes to recruiting news. Yet every year this city supplies several players to the D-I level.
San Jose (Calif.) Bishop Mitty has a player that has caught the eye of several big time schools and that is running back Robert Perry (5-8, 160, 4.45).

Perry the ideal all-purpose back, he can make plays running or catching the football. He’s also an outstanding punt returner who set the school punt return record with a 70 yard jaunt for touchdown. Perry had 249 punt return yards
The honors came pouring in after Perry rushed for 1,286 yards and 19 touchdowns. He had 21 receptions for an average of 13 yards per catch and six more touchdowns. He had a total of 156 points his junior season. It is easy to see why Perry was selected all-CCS, all-area and League running back MVP as a junior.
“Robert has his motor going all the time,” Bishop Mitty head coach Dave Brown said. “He goes 110% every second he’s on the field. I’ve never seen him go less than flat out. Robert even practices with a sense of purpose.”
“What makes him so special as a running back is Robert’s quickness, and the fact that he as a great instinct for the game,” Brown said. “Whenever he’s on the field we have a chance to can score and can score from anywhere on the field and in a variety of ways.”
Perry is also a hero on the diamond and is getting recruiting looks in baseball, too, as center fielder and baseball pitcher.
Stanford, Cal, ASU, Oregon, WSU, Utah and Boise State are showing interest in Perry.
Bishop Mitty has another player that Coach Brown feels has the potential to be an outstanding player on the next level in defensive end/tight end Cameron Butcher (6-5, 245, 5.3).
Butcher is the type of player many D-I schools like. “Cameron’s size and frame is his calling card,” Brown said. “He has the frame to get up to at least 285 and keep his athleticism.”
“Cameron is just coming into his own as a player,” Brown said. “He has outstanding hand to eye coordination. Cameron is loaded with athletic ability.”
The Oregon Ducks must like what they see because he has been invited to their camp. Stanford is another school that has shown interest Butcher.
Butcher will play both ways his senior season as a defensive end/tight end. If he puts on the additional weight he could end up being an outstanding offensive lineman on the next level.
