San Diego standout up to four

Cornerback/wide receiver Stefan McClure from Vista, Calif., is heating up the recruiting trail as of late picking up four early offers with the prospect of getting even more before the spring is through.
The two-way standout has offers from Washington, Colorado, Colorado State and San Diego State. Boise State, Northwestern, Arizona, Oregon State, UCLA, and USC are all keeping a close recruiting eye on McClure.

McClure will be attending USC's junior day on February 27th and he's planning on going to a couple more.
What does McClure want in a college?
"A good coaching staff and a good environment," McClure said. "It will also have to have my major and I want to play in a good conference where there is tons of competition, week in and week out.
"I probably going to run out my recruiting until after the season," McClure said. "I'm not planning to take any visits during my season so after my season, I'll probably take a couple of visits and then I'll decide.
Will attend the NIKE Invite Camp in Los Angeles on April 25th, and he is planning on taking in a camp at one of the colleges that have offered him but at this time he's not sure which school yet.
McClure earned all-state underclassman, all-CIF SD Section, all-area and all-league as a junior after accounting for 30-plus catches on offense and racking up 38 tackles and two interceptions on the defensive side of the ball six blocked punts .
In the weight room, McClure currently benches 215, he squats 370 and power cleans 200. He has recorded a 34-inch vertical.
McClure doesn't reserve all his talents for the gridiron, he is also a very talented track athlete. His events are the triple jump and long jump. His best triple jump is an outstanding 46.3. He was good enough in this event to go to state as a sophomore, where ended up 14th. Not too shabby for a sophomore. His best long jump is 21.10.
McClure's performances in track have drawn recruiting letters from Arizona, UCLA, Georgia and Duke.
Though McClure is outstanding at both, defensive back and wide receiver, he is being recruited for his skills as a lockdown cover corner.
The scouting report on McClure is he's lockdown cover corner who is very explosive and physical. He is tough, is known as a playmaker and he will hit you. He did a great job on Oklahoma freshman,Kenny Stills in a playoff game to give you an indication of his coverage skills.
McClure has it covered In the classroom, too as he is currently carrying a 3.2 GPA and will take the SAT on March 13th.
