San Diego sack master getting noticed

There is a sleeper from San Diego who is definitely one to watch. He is a sack master deluxe and because of his versatility will also add tight end to his duties his senior season.
Defensive end Philip Williams (6-2, 245, 4.8) from San Diego, Calif., is beginning to wake up recruiters in the western states.

When you fight through double teams and sometime triple teams all season long, and still pile up 20 sacks. You will open up some eyes. That is exactly what Williams did. He also had 62 tackles to his credit.
Williams sports a solid 300 pound bench press, squats 405, cleans 250 and recorded a 25-inch vertical jump.
The best attribute that Williams possesses is his excellent quickness. Like all great defensive end types, Williams has a great first-step.
Williams took part in the Beyond 2000 elite camp and he impressed Henry Bell, the camp facilitator, with how coachable he is. “Williams took what he was taught at the camp and applied himself,” Bell said.
Williams is the type of guy who always shows up to practice and his work outs on time. His excellent work habits rub off on his teammates who follow his lead.
When it comes to a college, it is academics that come first with Williams. “I want to go to a school with strong academics,” Williams said. “I can’t rely on football my whole life, but a good education will prepare me for life after football.”
“I want to major in abnormal psychology.”
“Athletically, I want to play for a good competitive football team with a solid coaching staff,” Williams said.
Oregon, Oregon State, Arizona, ASU, Washington State, New Mexico and Northern Arizona are already recruiting Williams. The word on the street is there will be plenty more once his senior season rolls around…
