San Diego OL is a road grader

Offensive tackle Jake Peterson (6-5, 310, 5.3) from Santee (Calif.) West Hills sure passes the look test. He has the size that D-I schools are looking for in an offensive lineman.
In the weight room, Peterson currently benches 315 and squats 400-plus.

On the recruiting trail Georgia Tech recently requested game tape on Peterson. He is getting recruiting letters from San Diego State, New Mexico State and Washington State.
According to Rolando Garcia of sandiegoballers.com once his tape gets in circulation among D-I schools there will be plenty of interest in the behemoth from San Diego County.
"Jake is very aggressive and a hard worker on and off the field," Garcia said. "He moves well for a big man. He's what we call in the coaching trade, a road grader, but what separates Jake from the rest is he has the quickness get out and pull. He is also quick to make a block on the second level."
"Jake plays football with a nasty attitude, but off the field he's a nice young man," Garcia said. "He is one of the best big men we have in the (San Diego) county."
What is Peterson looking for in a college?
"Mostly I am looking for a school with good academics where I can set myself up for life," Peterson said. "Location doesn't really matter. I could play in cold weather or warm, that wouldn't be a big deal.'
"I just want a good place to play football and get my education."
