San Diego LB has bright future

San Diego St. Augustine linebacker Michael Silva is one of those young people who simply has a bright future.
Not only is he a very good football player, but he is also an excellent student. In high school, he has yet to make a single B (all A’s) and has already scored a 1,360 on the SAT.

The usual suspects for such a fine student athlete - Northwestern, Duke and Harvard - are calling but have yet to extend a scholarship offer. Colorado and UNLV are also calling.
Silva says he has no leaders among his choices but is happy that his play on the field is earning some attention.
“There’s no question that I’m into academics,” he said. “But I also take pride in football. I love to play.”
The 6-foot-3, 215-pound San Diego native has made four sacks and forced two fumbles through three games this season.
He says he has no leaders among his college choices but hopes to begin the process of scheduling official visits to the schools he mentioned within the next month.
