On the recruiting trail, Joyner has received recruiting attention from Arizona, Arizona State, Vanderbilt, Colorado State, San Diego State and Utah.
Joyner is thinking about camping with the Arizona Wildcats in June.
What is Joyner looking for in a school?
"I want to be an architect so I want to attend a school that has a strong architect program," Joyner said. "I would like to play as close to home as possible, but if a big program across the country was interested and I am a good fit, I would definitely look at that."
"I will look at how they play football."
In the weight room, his current bench is 280 and he power cleans a very impressive 270. He is also solid in the classroom and carries a 3.5 GPA.
Joyner has outstanding football bloodlines as his uncle is former NFL great, cornerback, Eric Allen, who played for the New Orleans Saints, Philadelphia Eagles and Oakland Raiders.
Joyner is another San Diego prospect to keep an eye on this spring and fall.
