Stahovich an elite punter that is expected to be ranked among the top 15 kickers, was originally offered a scholarship in early May.
It was an offer he accepted after receiving attention from other schools like Notre Dame, Virginia, Stanford, Cal, Arizona State and UCLA.
"Brian is an outstanding punter," kicking analyst Chris Sailer said.
"He is a scholarship level player. He has a strong leg and has already shown the ability to hit punts in the 4.75 to 5.0 range. One of the Best in the class of 2008."
