It is obvious that some D-I schools heard about Taylor's football recital because USC, Oregon, Boise State, UNLV and San Diego State all called since September 1st the day that colleges can make contact.
"They (schools) told me they want to offer me but first they want to come to my next game or get some senior game tape," Taylor said. "Some of the colleges will be at my game this Friday against Carlsbad.
"I haven't set up any official visits yet, but I plan to soon," Taylor said. "I just haven't had the time. I would like to visit Oregon, USC and Utah.
"I really like Oregon's coaches," Taylor said. "I like how the USC coaches run a practice. They practice hyped up and with a lot of energy. With Utah I like the football team.
Taylor currently has three offers from Boise State, Colorado State and Utah. Taylor worked on his skills by camping with USC, UCLA and Colorado State.
As a junior, Taylor was an all-league selection after racking up 65 tackles, 12 deflected passes and three interceptions.
The scouting report on Taylor is he has outstanding leadership qualities, but more so by example than vocally. He has good footwork and flexibility. He's a hard worker with a keen desire to improve.
Taylor also gets the job done in the weight room and the classroom. His current bench press is 275, he benched 185-pounds 19 times and that is very good for a corner. He has also recorded a 35-inch vertical. His GPA is 3.85.
Taylor was selected to the Rivals.com California Top 100 for the class of 2008 landing as the Golden State's number 84 prospect at any position.
