San Antonio LB still waiting on first offer

Every year there are sleepers that fly under the recruiting radar screen and surprise everyone when they get to the next level. One of those possible surprises is San Antonio (Texas) O’Connor linebacker Michael Hodges.
“Everything is going ok right now I guess,” the 6-foot, 195 pound Hodges said. “I am getting some calls here and there and I am getting quite a bit of mail from different schools. So far Colorado, Rice and SMU have called me.”

Hodges is getting mail from many other schools in addition to the three that have called so far.
“I am getting pretty good mail from those three plus a few others,” he said. “I am getting mail from Texas Tech, TCU, Navy, North Texas, Texas State and Columbia. I have also gotten film requests from Columbia, SMU and Texas State.”
Hodges does not know if any of those schools are close to offering but he says that one school is recruiting him the hardest.
“SMU has shown me the most interest so far,” he said. “They send me the most mail and have called the most frequently so far. I don’t know if any of them are going to offer or not yet, none of them have said they were going to.”
