Samuel names three favorites

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - Traveon Samuel has three favorites and the Phenix City (Ala.) Central running back said it's too close to call in terms of a favorite.
The three-star running back said this week at the B2G Elite Camp that Auburn, Florida State and South Carolina are the leaders and he wants to decide sometime in December.

"Auburn is close to home and it's a perfect fit in the spread offense," Samuel said. "They could use me in the slot position or at running back. I could be moved around on offense in different kinds of ways.
"At Florida State, I have a great relationship with all the coaches. It's a very comfortable place to be. I can be used in their offense in numerous ways.
"At South Carolina, they said they would use me like Ace Sanders. I have a good connection with coach Grady Brown and I like it over there."
The 5-foot-7, 175-pound prospect might have to make a decision in December because he wants to enroll early. That pushes up his timetable but Samuel said he still wants to take all five official visits through the fall.
"I am trying to enroll early," Samuel said. "I want to get out in January so I can do spring ball. I was trying to make my decision in December.
"Those three official visits are for sure and then I'll probably come out to the West Coast and I could take one down to Florida."
It's a tight race for a specific leader according to Samuel, who said Auburn, FSU and South Carolina are basically tied at this point. Official visits to those three schools could be the deciding factor for the three-star recruit.
"I wouldn't say any one stands out because I've been enjoying all of them," Samuel said.
