Sales adds offer, names top five

Offensive guard Quinton Sales out of Fort Washington (Md.) Friendly is up to three offers. In addition to the latest scholarship, the 6-foot-3, 280-pounder has announced his top five.
"I've got offers from Wake Forest, Kent and Connecticut," he said. "My coach told me about the UConn offer a couple weeks ago.

"Right now I'm planning to go to camps at Illinois, Syracuse, Boston College and Connecticut. They all are talking about offering if I go and do well at camp."
Meanwhile, five schools are leading for Sales services.
"I'd say Wake is my favorite right now and Illinois is up there in my top two. The rest of my five are Stanford, Boston College and Syracuse," he said. "Wake Forest sticks out because they are a great academic school and in the ACC, I love that. I also like my recruiter, coach Billings. He's a cool guy to talk to and straight forward.
"As for Illinois, I like my recruiter there too, Mike Locksley. He tells you what's up and doesn't play around. I like that they are in the Big Ten and my godfather, Rodney Pittman goes there. That's a big factor for me."
With an offer from one of his favorites, is Sales getting closer to a decision?
"I want to make a decision early in the season, probably by August or September," he stated. "I'm close with Josh Haden and Lamaar Thomas. I don't think we're going to go to the same school, but I think we're all going to announce at the same time early in the year."
