Saint-Fort getting serious attention

Sunrise (Fla.) Piper wide receiver Markinley Saint-Fort is getting serious early attention from a number of programs, including one Southeastern Conference power and an in-state Conference USA school.
The Auburn Tigers, who recruit South Florida as heavy as any other out-of-state SEC program, have shown early interest in Saint-Fort.

"I study Auburn," he said. "I know all about Kenny Irons and the running game and also love their passing game. I know that system is looking to get the ball in my hands as quickly as possible."
The 5-foot-10, 165-pound Saint-Fort plans on camping at Auburn this summer.
Central Florida also is showing early interest. The Golden Knights have been very active during the early part of the Class of 2008 recruiting cycle.
"UCF came to me and told me about their weightlifting program and how they are building new facilities and trying to build up their program," Saint-Fort said.
There is one factor that will weigh heavily for Saint-Fort when he goes to make his final decision.
"How the academic program is the easiest way to get me because grades always come first," he said.
Saint-Fort also has interest in Southern California, Kansas State and Florida.
"They know how to get the ball to their receivers," he said.
Saint-Fort says he currently has a 36-inch vertical leap and has been timed as fast as 4.5-seconds in the 40-yard dash.
Saint-Fort attended the Rivals.com Fort Lauderdale Junior Day on Feb. 18 at Northeast High School in Oakland Park, Fla.
