Sails plans Midwest swing

LAKELAND, Fla. - K.J. Sails is not hard up for scholarship offers. The three-star safety has 18 as things stand now. He's in no hurry to trim that list or announce a commitment date, though. Instead, he'll spend the summer exploring every possible scenario.
That process, it seems, includes hitting the road to the upper Midwest.

"I'm going to Michigan, Wisconsin and Iowa July 14 through July 16. That's the trip I know right now."
As of now, Sails claims no offer from Michigan but thinks that is set to change in the near future. He attended Michigan's recent satellite camp in Florida and says the Wolverines' coaching staff says that will likely make thing official this summer. And despite the schools geographic location, Michigan, Iowa and Wisconsin are all options.
Serious ones.
"I mean, it doesn't matter where I go," Sails said. "I just want to see new things, so I would go to school out there in the Midwest if I thought I wanted to. I'm going to see on these visits."
Sails lists Wisconsin, Iowa and Clemson as the schools currently recruiting him the hardest but names no favorites in the process. According to the Gibsonton (Fla.) East Bay High School standout, there's plenty of time for that stuff down the road.
"Right now, I like all of my schools," Sails said. "I'm just going to take my visits and see what stands out."
Despite his lack of favorites, sails plans to make a verbal commitment before the start of his approaching senior season.
