Safety shoots up the charts

Most of the attention in the early part of the recruiting season in the state of Kansas has been focused on Wichita Northwest standout Kamerion Wimbley, who is heading to Florida State. But Jerome Kemp has become one of the hottest prospects in the Midlands.
The 5-foot-10, 188-pound safety also has the offers to prove it.

"I really like Michigan State and O-State," Kemp said about the Spartans and Cowboys.
"I've been to both campuses and they seem like places that I could really fit in at. I liked them both a lot."
Kemp has offers from Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Kansas and Kansas State and lists Missouri, Northwestern and Oklahoma as other teams showing interest. He's received calls so far in September from Kansas, Michigan State, Kansas State and Colorado State.
"Every one has their own style," Kemp said.
"They all try to do something different. It doesn't matter because what they say is only a piece of the puzzle."
