Sacramento sleeper hard to catch

There is a little scat-back in the Sacramento area that gets the job done. He is somewhat of a sleeper because he doesn't have the size that many D-I schools look for but according to his coach he is a definite D-I prospect with an abundance of potential.
The running back to keep your eyes on is Kejon Murphy (5-9, 160, 4.5) from Sacramento (Calif.) Natomas.

According to former Natomas coach Terry Stark, Murphy has the athleticism to play cornerback on the collegiate level, but more than likely he will play running back on the Division I level.
"I think Kejon was the most elusive player in our league when he has the ball in his hands," Stark said. "As a receiver he has great hands and he's a great open field runner."
"The thing that separates Kejon from the rest of the pack is his great vision and patience with the football," Stark said. "Not only is he a great runner but he sets up his blocks well."
The scouting report on Murphy is he's very aggressive and physical as a football player. He plays both ways and is an excellent performer on special teams.
"Kejon didn't come off the field very much last year," Stark said. "He always gave 100% when he was between the lines."
Murphy is an outstanding all-around athlete who is getting looks for his basketball ability. He plays point guard and is a good shooter, ball handler and passer. Like all point guards he has great court awareness.
So far Boise State, Fresno State, San Jose and Cal State-Sacramento are showing the most attention for Murphy.
