Sacramento OL has top three

Sacramento (Calif.) Grant offensive tackle Devan Cunningham is one of the top prospects overall in all of Sacramento and Northern California. He spent most of May on the phone talking to coaches from all over the nation, so it's no surprise the 6-foot-6, 305-pounder is now one of the West's best prospects.
"Michigan called and that was a new one for me to hear from," Cunningham, a first-team all-league and second-team all-city selection, said.

"Colorado, BYU, San Diego State and Cal have been he main teams I've heard from consistently. There are a few new teams who might offer me soon. I was told Notre Dame and Arizona might, and then maybe Washington."
Cunningham does have several teams that stand out to him.
"Colorado, Cal, and BYU are up there right now as my top three," he said. "Their environment, location and education along with their football program are all real good. Colorado might have the edge right now since I've talked to them for a long time. They were the first team to start recruiting me, and I've been able to talk to them a lot more than any other school.
"Cal has a one day camp this weekend that I'm going to and it will probably be the only camp I go to this summer. If I take any unofficial visits it'll either be to Cal or maybe Colorado."
Cunningham said at one point he thought about committing early to end the process, but he's backed away from that a little bit now.
"In the beginning I wanted to get it done with, because it was just Colorado," he said. "Then things started getting crazy with other offers. I started to get one after the other for a couple weeks when I was close to committing to Colorado, and then I started to open things up. Now I think I'm going to take my time with the whole process. I'll take all of my visits and then decide."
When it comes time to make that pick, he's already thought about a few important factors.
"One of the biggest maybe will be how much the team wants me," he said. "I want to play somewhere I know I'll get to play, and a place I can tell wants me to be a part of their program. Then location, too, will be a factor. I don't want to go too far away from home."
