S.C. receiver looks for big 2009

Wide receiver Greg Adams was one of the most productive prospects at his position in the Palmetto State last fall. He hopes to improve upon those efforts this coming fall.
While relatively small in stature at 5-foot-9 and 160-pounds, Adams runs the 40-yard dash in 4.45 seconds and is tough to catch in the open field.

As a junior at Columbia (S.C.) Ridge View he caught 69 passes for 1,212 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also excelled on special teams.
"I play receiver and I do punt returns and kick returns," Adams said. "I've got good speed and I run good routes. I just need to work on my blocking to help spring some (rushing) touchdowns.
"A week or two ago I got a letter from Charleston Southern and I've been emailing a bunch of other colleges. I've heard from South Florida and Presbyterian, and that's about it."
Adams plans on attending a NIKE camp in Chapel Hill in the near future.
He believes his skills would be best utilized in a spread offense.
