S.C. quarterback looking for more options

Sumter, South Carolina quarterback Stephen Curtis is looking for opportunities to prove himself. After a slow start to the season, Curtis has lead his team back to winning ways but is looking for more both in the regular season and in the post-season.
"We started off 0-2, losing the first two games and then we've won the last four," Curtis said. "We've been picking it up lately and I feel good throwing the ball. First few games throwing the ball is pretty much all we did and then we started running the ball a little more and balancing it out."

With offers from Liberty and Furman, Curtis has some viable options on the recruiting front. However, he is hoping for more once some senior film is distributed.
"I've been hearing from a couple of other schools," he said. "A lot of schools are just waiting to see film on the first couple of games. There's a couple of D-I schools after me. I've been talking to NC State and a couple of other schools."
Curtis has taken an unofficial visit to The Citadel and hopes to take in the Liberty campus next weekend for an unofficial visit. With a strong senior season, Curtis hopes that some post-season opportunities will present themselves for him to continue to prove that he deserves more scholarship offers.
"Hopefully I can make the roster to the Shrine Bowl and things will pick up after that," he said. "I was leading in votes for the quarterbacks in the Shrine Bowl before the season. I'm hoping I get on there. I think the college coaches can come to practice and watch so hopefully I can make either the North-South or the Shrine Bowl."
