Rymer feels offers are close

WINTER GARDEN, Fla. - Offensive center Kalvin Rymer from Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange made the move to snapping the ball as a junior, after having been an offensive guard, and admits the adjustment period was difficult. After dedicating the summer months to working on snapping with his quarterback, the 6-foot-2, 295-pound lineman has begun to draw some college interest as a senior.
"I've heard from Temple, South Florida, Charleston Southern, Cincinnati, South Alabama, Purdue, and Pitt," Rymer said. "None of them have offered me yet."

Rymer said that Charleston Southern came by the school on Monday and requested his transcript. He believes the Buccaneers are the closest to offering. They, like most of the schools involved in his recruitment, want to see the improvement he has made translate on video.
"Most of the schools have told me they want senior video," Rymer said. "My junior highlights were not that good, they didn't have a lot to see, so they want to just keep seeing my senior film and they are going to continue to evaluate me."
So far this season, Rymer has hit the road to visit two schools. He talked about what he took away from those experiences.
"I went to South Florida when they played FAMU and I went to Miami when they played Ohio State," Rymer said. "It was exciting. Seeing the difference from high school to college was a good experience. The fanbases are way bigger. There is more importance placed on it as well. The coaches just told me to keep doing what I am doing and hopefully in a year I will be wearing one of those jerseys."
Rymer said he will schedule official visits as offers are extended.
