Ryan Williams picks Virginia Tech

SAN ANTONIO - Earlier in the week, Manassas (Va.) Stonewall Jackson running back Ryan Williams said he was down between Virginia Tech and Boston College. Prior to kickoff of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Williams announced he'll be attending Virginia Tech next year.
"I felt comfortable (at Virginia Tech) with the guys there and the coaching staff," Williams said earlier in the week. "Everyone made me feel very comfortable. When I was walking through meeting the academic advisors, all the attention was on me like, 'We have to get this guy.' It seemed like they wanted to make sure everyone I talked to at the school, they put emphasis on the fact they wanted me so bad. I feel real good about that."

At 5-foot-10, 192-pounds, Williams is rated as the third-best running back nationally by Rivals.com.
This past season Williams suffered nagging ankle injuries which limited him to about 700 rushing yards in five games. He officially visited Virginia Tech and Boston College on back-to-back weeks in December and then Notre Dame earlier in the season.
