Ryan narrows field to ND and BC
Cleveland (Ohio) St. Ignatius defensive end John Ryan is one of the top defensive line prospects in the Buckeye state.
The 6-foot-5 and 240 pound Ryan made 67 tackles including nine sacks during his junior season. He has good size for a defensive end and the type of frame recruiters like to see.

Not surprisingly, Ryan has plenty of schools in hot pursuit of his services. However unless something drastic happens, all but two need not continue their quest of Ryan.
"Right now I think I have it narrowed down to Boston College or Notre Dame," Ryan said. "Both of them have offered."
But those certainly are not Ryan's only scholarship offers.
"Michigan State, Syracuse, Duke, Kansas, Miami of Ohio, Maryland, those are some of my other offers," Ryan said.
"I'm going up to visit Boston College Thursday and Friday. Then Saturday I'm going to Notre Dame's spring game.
"Hopefully I'll get a good feel for things after those two visits. I hope to make a decision by the time summer starts."
